2009 February 01 StewardshipStewardship is an issue that is still foreign to many, but once applied to every day living, can change your entire outlook on life. Biblical Stewardship is taking the main points of being a steward, and applying them with a perspective according to God’s word. Our Finances - Financial Report in New Bulletin Format Two big improvements on the new presentation format are that it is goal-oriented and includes all relevant expenditures. Goal-oriented means that you can readily see if we are meeting our weekly, monthly or annual needs. In short, if we reach 100% on the graph then we have met the income goals for that time period. The new format also includes all relevant expenditures. This means that in addition to normal expenses such as the utilities, payroll, or ministry expenses, it also includes other expenditures like support for Southpointe and our debt reduction payments, which are typically not classified as “expenses.” These changes to the report will help us communicate not only what has transpired financially, but also what our future needs are and how close we are to reaching them.
