
Preston Taylor Ministries was established in 1998 with a goal of demonstrating the love of Christ in the Preston Taylor Homes in West Nashville. By focusing its efforts and prayers on one community and starting with education as the base ministry, Preston Taylor Ministries is seeing the Kingdom of God break forth into a neighborhood where the spirit of despair has dominated for decades.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- After-school reading and homework helpers (Monday-Thursday 3:15pm-5:00pm)
- Lunchmate mentors to eat lunch with a student in their cafeteria once a week
- Marketplace Mentors to take a student to work for 3 hours giving them a look into your workplace and career
- Leading Bible studies
- Coordinating, chaperoning and providing transportation for field trips
- Writing letters or making phone calls to thank volunteers & recruit new ones
- Building/maintenance work on site as needed

Preston Taylor Ministries (PTM) glorifies Christ Jesus by empowering Preston Taylor children to discover and live their God-inspired dreams through Christian friendships and love for learning.
PTM was founded in 1998 to confront many of the problems present in the Preston Taylor public housing area, problems like drug use, gang involvement, teenage pregnancy, illiteracy, poor school performance and crime. In order to provide hope for children and families living in this environment, PTM sponsors several avenues for building life-changing relationships. At PTM it's about relationships....
