My passion is for our students to come on Sunday morning, feeling safe, so they can hear God’s Word while engaging with their friends.  My hope is that our students are investigating and living out God’s Truth.

Elementary Hours

Elementary classes are available for both services on Sunday mornings.  The Elementary area opens 15 minutes prior to schedules events.

Visitors are welcome to check in at the Elementary desk located on the first floor. You and your child will receive security badges and be escorted to your child’s classroom.

Explorers at 9:00 am
Your child will experience:

  • Participate in Worship time in adult service
  • Bible story
  • Community with other students and their leaders
  • Hands on Activites / Games / Prayer Time


Explorers at 10:30 am
Your child will experience:

  • Bible stories taught about the character of God from the Jesus Storybook Bible.
  • Trip to Transformation Station is where storytellers make the lesson come to life through live characters, puppets and videos in a lively theatre setting.
  • Hands on Activites / Games / Prayer Time

Membership Class

Each September a Children's Membership Class is offered for students 2nd grade and older whose parents are members of WECC.  This is a four-week class that takes place during the 9:00 am worship service.  Location TBA.

Purpose for this class:

  • To have trusted Christ as their Savior and able to share their story with an elder (parents will be present too).
  • Understand what it means to take part in the sacraments (baptism and communion).
  • Gain a better understanding of being sinful and how to follow Jesus.

Service Opportunities

At this age children learn to serve Christ through hands on opportunities to help others.  Therefore, we offer the following:

  • Charis Food Delivery
  • Operation Christmas Child
  • Angel Tree

  • Carry it with you while in the church
  • We will text you if a need arises. Otherwise we have no way to contact you.

How do I register to be on the Children’s Roster?

Go to the Elementary Desk and complete the Family Registration Form.

Can I sit in on any part of the Children’s Ministry?

Yes! We invite parents to observe in the classroom at any time.  You must pick up a parent ID badge at the Elementary desk before joining your child’s class.
