People do not drift toward holiness. Apart from grace-driven effort, people do not gravitate toward godliness, prayer, obedience to Scripture, faith and delight in the Lord. We drift toward compromise and call it tolerance; we drift toward disobedience and call it freedom; we drift toward superstition and call it faith. We cherish the indiscipline of lost self-control and call it relaxation; we slouch toward prayerlessness and delude ourselves into thinking we have escaped legalism; we slide toward godlessness and convince ourselves we have been liberated.

At West End Community Church our outreach is designed to the benefit the whole Church of our Lord Jesus. Our aim is not to increase our own numbers, nor create for ourselves a good reputation, nor keep our congregation busy doing church related activities.

We give. We love. We serve.

We give generously because Jesus does not give us things, He gives us Himself in the gospel. We love the least and the lost in Nashville because Jesus himself is the bread of life. We serve the Church around the world because the church is crucial in the plan of God for the world.

May our worship, our words and our actions testify that there is a new reality.

Death was not the end. The tomb is empty. Jesus has risen! God really does reign!

Jesus will return!
