TOPIC: Apologetics/the Christian Faith

1.    The Reason for God by Tim Keller

This book answers many basic questions that spiritually searching people are asking about Christianity and the Bible. It gets to the heart of the matter on some very tough questions…
-    The goodness of God and the existence of suffering
-    Is the Bible trustworthy?
-    What is the Cross all about?
-    Is Chrsitianity compatible with Science?
The book is well-written and easily understood. It is especially effective to read with someone who is asking these questions with a mind to find the answers and respond.

2.   The Answer by Randy Pope

This book is a basic presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and is helpful to give to non-Christians who are interesting in understanding God’s plan of salvation. (Can be purchased at perimeter.org in their bookstore)

3.    Mere Christianity by CS Lewis

One of the best books I’ve read about the Christian faith. It is written in fluid style with an eye to skeptical people. Lewis seeks to find common ground with non-religious people as he invites them to explore the Christian faith. The chapter on pride is simply outstanding!

4.    Miracles by CS Lewis

This book offers a lucid and reasonable explanation of biblical miracles and explains why you don’t have to be crazy to believe them!
