Who Siloam Serves:

  • Siloam serves more than 9,000 patients and is tracking for 18,200 patient encounters in 2008.
  • 79% of Siloam patients are immigrants or refugees
  • 84% of our patients do not speak English
  • Siloam patients come from more than 100 different homelands

At Siloam, affordable health care services are provided to persons who have no insurance or who have difficulty accessing their benefits due to language barriers, etc. Patients come from all over Nashville and include young and old, male and female, all races, ethnicities, religions and those in various stages of need. They are the working poor, people between jobs, those coming out of jail or in rehabilitation programs, and those who cannot afford to pay high insurance deductibles.

How you can get involved

The support of hundreds of volunteers and financial supporters is what makes affordable health care a reality for Siloam’s patients. It would not be possible for this clinic to remain open without people like you, who want to make a difference in the lives of others.

The Bible teaches that, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms” (I Peter 4:10). Recognizing the unique, God-given talents each one of us can offer is important and there are a variety of ways to use your gifts in service at Siloam. There are clinical and non-clinical opportunities available.  For more information, visit Siloam’s website or contact Kate Tanis.
