Small groups are a great way to get connected at West End, building community with other Christians and growing in faith. We offer community groups, discipleship groups and battle groups, each with a unique focus, as we've found that the diversity meets more needs. Betsy Thomas, one of our Discipleship Coordinators, would be happy to chat about what small group might be a good fit for you.
A community group is a small group of neighbors that meet together for the two-fold purpose of connection and mission. You can join a community group at any time of the year to connect with other families and individuals near you.
A discipleship group is a small group focused on equipping believers in their overall walk with Jesus. These groups can be a powerful foundation or a way to gain confidence to engage others with the good news of Jesus. The commitment is for 9 months (Sept – May) and includes weekly preparation and a weekly meeting with your team of 6-8 men or women.
Battle groups are small groups that focus on discovering who you were created to be, as a man or a woman, in God's Larger Story. The "Battle for the Heart" process is a unique discipleship program with a commitment that includes a fall and winter retreat and a follow-up process of meeting with a small group of men or women weekly.
