The Hands and Feet of Hurricane Relief
This week we took our second team to Marianna, Florida to partner with St. Luke AME Church and First Methodist, coming alongside these local churches to serve local residents struggling in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael. The churches provide housing for our teams, and we provide willing labor to help families get back into their homes.
We’d love your help.
We appreciate your prayers for our teams on the ground and for families that we are serving.
Most of this work is helping families clear trees off their homes and from their yards. If you can drag limbs to the street, you are qualified! We are planning two trips in January right now, one Wednesday to Friday (1/16-1/18) and one Saturday to Monday (1/19-1/21). If you are interested, please email Diane Bradshaw at firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know.
Is there another week that works for you? Let us know! We'd also love to know if you have specific skills (roofing, counseling) that you'd like to put to use in Marianna.
We are so grateful for the opportunities we’ve already had to serve. Thanks to your generous giving, we’ve been able to restore electricity to homes and provide some financial relief to families struggling to make ends meet with lots of extra expenses.
