WECC Families SMC – 8 weeks – team taught – Feb 26, March 5, 12, 26, April 2, 9, 23, 30
What is this SMC?
Join other parents trying to cultivate a household of loving discipline and heartfelt worship. Participants in this class will read Starr Meade’s book “Training Hearts, Teaching Minds” as a resource for theologically sound growth during family worship alongside Tedd Tripp’s “Shepherding A Child’s Heart!” We long for youth families to worship together during 9:00am service and then grow in Bible-centered community at 10:30am through SMCs!
Why should I attend this SMC?
We believe growth in Christ cannot happen apart from weekly corporate worship. Corporate worship builds up the body of Christ through the reading of Scripture, singing of praise, offering of prayer, preaching of the Word, and nourishing of the sacraments.
In an effort to see West End families worship God together in weekly corporate worship at 9:00am, we offer two Sunday Morning Classes (SMCs) at 10:30am. The first SMC is SWAT (Student Worship and Teaching), which is geared specifically for youth. SWAT exists to supplement corporate worship and foster fellowship and the study of God’s Word. The second SMC is “Training Hearts, Teaching Minds.”
How do I get involved in this SMC?
Just show up! The SMC takes place every Sunday morning at 10:30am in room 345. If you have any questions or wish to know more, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
