Jeremiah, Prophet to Judah
Reflect
The prophet Jeremiah brought both a warning and a promise of hope to God’s people. Judah had turned away from God and fallen deep into their sin as they worshiped idols. Jeremiah urged them to repent before judgment came. But even in their rebellion, God loved them and had a plan of redemption. Through Jeremiah, God promised a day when he would forgive sin and give his people new hearts that would truly love and obey him. Years later, Jesus came to make that promise come true! Through his perfect life and death on the cross, Jesus established a new covenant, one not based on our obedience, but on his.
When we trust in Jesus, God forgives our sins and credits us with Christ’s righteousness. He gives us the Holy Spirit, who changes our hearts from the inside out and helps us love and obey him. Because of Jesus, we don’t have to try to earn God’s love, we already have it! And with our new hearts, we can follow him with joy and gratitude.

Memory Verse: 2 Chronicles 7:14 (runs through 11/25/25)
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
