Daniel’s Dream
LESSON DATE & SCRIPTURE: jan. 11 | DANIEL 7
New city catechism question of the week:
Question #2: What is God?
Answer: God is the creator of everyone and Everything.
Memory Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (runs through 1/11/25)
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Talk about it together
Daniel had a confusing and frightening dream with four beasts representing different earthly kingdoms. His dream was a message from God to show him that God is the eternal king who judges all the nations.
Throughout our lives we will see all sorts of rulers and powers and authorities of this world, but the Bible is clear that God is ruling over all of them. Earthly kingdoms will last for a short time, but the kingdom of Jesus will last forever. His kingdom will be perfectly restored and everyone who trusts in him will live forever with God. This is the hope for eternity God gave Daniel and us.
