DisCOURAGEd
Key Takeaways
Discouragement comes when our deepest desires for intimacy and impact are blocked.
God puts courage into our hearts by giving us partnership and presence.
Partnership restores our purpose, while God's presence restores our confidence.
Jesus lost the security of partnership and presence on the cross so that we never will.
The gospel doesn't end with "earn this," but with "it is finished."

CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
All: For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised!
Psalm 96:1-4a
Confession of Sin
Gracious God, we admit that discouragement exposes our unbelief. When we feel alone, we ignore your presence and refuse the partners you provide. We try to meet our desires our own way—grasping for control, nursing resentment, or retreating into isolation. Instead of trusting your timing and care, we act as though everything rests on us. Forgive us for doubting your grace and resisting your help. Give us courage through Christ, who was crucified and raised for us. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.
Colossians 2:13-14
