If you are thinking about visiting West End, you probably have a few questions first–about what the service is like, what to do with your kids, or what we actually believe. Here are honest answers. If yours is not here, just ask

Planning Your First Visit

Currently we gather for worship every Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Both services follow the same order of worship and include the same sermon, so you can come to whichever fits your morning better. Starting August 30th our worship times are changing to 8, 9:30, and 11:15 a.m.

We are at 235 White Bridge Pike, Nashville, TN 37209, on a 44-acre campus just off White Bridge Road. Free on-site parking is available, and greeters are outside on Sunday mornings to point you toward the main entrance.

Come as you are. On any given Sunday you will see everything from jeans and t-shirts to jackets and dresses. Nobody at West End is keeping track of what you are wearing.

Services begin on time, with a song of preparation about five minutes beforehand. Many people arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to park, grab coffee, get children checked in, and find a seat. That said, no matter what time you arrive, you are welcome.

Services last about one hour and include singing, Bible readings, prayer, communion, and a sermon. You will not be singled out as a visitor, asked to stand up, or put on the spot to give.

Stop by the Greeter Table just inside the front doors — someone there can answer questions and walk you where you need to go. There is also a Welcome Area just outside the Worship Center. We would genuinely love to meet you.

Yes. Both a police officer and a security officer monitor the campus throughout Sunday mornings, and West End Kids has a dedicated, trained security officer of its own.

Yes. Services are streamed and archived on our YouTube channel, so you can get a feel for our teaching and worship before you ever walk through the doors.
Kids & Students

Yes. Nursery care serves birth through 2 years old and Preschool serves ages 3 through kindergarten, both available at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services. Elementary programming for grades 1 through 6 meets during the 10:30 a.m. service.
During special seasons, elementary-aged children sometimes join their families in worship instead. Check the West End Kids page for what is happening this Sunday.

When you arrive on Sunday morning, someone will be waiting at the Greeter Table inside the front doors to walk you through check-in. First-time check-in takes just a few extra minutes, which is one good reason to arrive early.

Every West End Kids volunteer is personally vetted and background checked, a trained security officer is on duty, and the children’s space was designed with input from security experts.
West End Kids is a nut-free zone, and snacks are limited to goldfish or graham crackers with water. You can tell us about any allergies at your first check-in.

We have dedicated Youth and Young Adults ministries with their own weekly rhythms, small groups, and events beyond Sunday morning.

Children of West End members can be baptized, and baptisms can be scheduled through our Church Center forms. If you are not yet a member, our membership process is a good first step.
What We Believe

West End is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). The church was founded in 1996 out of a season of prayer about planting a church in the Nations neighborhood of Nashville, and our permanent campus on White Bridge Road was completed in 2005.

We receive the Bible as God’s Word and read it as a single story unfolding in four movements: creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. As a PCA congregation, our theological convictions are summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Catechisms.
Our mission is helping people know, love, and follow Jesus Christ into a life of love to the glory of God. If you have questions about any of it, our pastors and elders would welcome the conversation.

John Bourgeois serves as Lead Pastor, following 25 years of leadership from founding pastor Carter Crenshaw, who remains part of the church. A broader staff and a body of elders and deacons share the work of leading and caring for the congregation.
Getting Connected

Sunday morning is a start, not the whole picture. Adults, young adults, youth, and kids each have their own ministries, and Bible studies and gatherings meet throughout the week — men’s and women’s studies, Thursday prayer, Sunday morning classes, and more. Browsing our events page is the easiest way to find something that fits.

Membership begins with a class where you can learn who we are, ask hard questions, and decide whether West End is where you want to plant roots. You are welcome to attend as long as you like before taking that step.

There are opportunities to serve inside the church, across Nashville, and around the world — including West End Kids, worship, missions, and UpRise, our career training ministry. Our serving page lists current openings and the people to contact.

Yes, and you do not have to be a member to ask. Our Care ministry offers support, prayer, and connection to resources, we host Celebrate Recovery on Thursdays, and you can submit a prayer request or a care request at any time. A real person will follow up.
