Jesus was Born
LESSON DATE & SCRIPTURE: dec. 21 | MATTHEW 1; LUKE 2
Memory Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (runs through 1/11/25)
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Talk about it together
When sin came into the world, people were separated from God. God loved his people and promised to send a savior. For many years, God told the prophets to remind people of his promise and help them get ready for his arrival. People could not save themselves from sin. So, God sent his son, Jesus, to earth as a baby.
Jesus is called Immanuel, which means “God with us.” He came to save us from our sin. This tiny baby was the hope of the world! He gives forgiveness and eternal life to everyone who trusts in him. Because of Jesus, we can be part of God’s family forever. Jesus’ birth is very special and should fill our hearts with joy!
