Day 1: 2025 Belfast

Unexpected travel blessings
It’s Sunday morning and we find ourselves in the midst of a busy London-Heathrow airport waiting for our last flight that will take us into Belfast. The Lord has kept us on our toes, and with prayers on our breath thus far, we are thankful. Our flight leaving Nashville was delayed before we ever arrived at the airport Saturday morning, but it was the Lord’s kindness. The added time helped us navigate an unexpected ticketing issue that almost left one of our team members in Nashville! With tickets in hand and passports in our pockets, we boarded our plane for the first flight of the day heading to Philadelphia and landed with a quick sprint ahead of us as we rushed to make our connecting international flight to London. Out of breath, but with joyful spirits, we arrived at our gate with just a few minutes to spare. We climbed aboard, settled in, reflected on the day behind us, and looked to the week ahead of us.
Last week, Pastor Eric Ashley reminded us that the Lord loves us deeply. If we can receive that truth, we’re free to look at days like ours without fear or frustration, but rather with curiosity and hope. We’re seeking to carry this posture into our time with our brothers and sisters in Belfast this week. When met with the unexpected, we want to ask the Lord what he has for us in that moment. We want to wake talking to him, seek him throughout the day, and praise him as we lay down in the evening.
HOw we saw god at work today:
The Lord’s kindness in all aspects of our travel – mistaken tickets, connecting flights, and safe landings!
Amid the unexpected, the Lord has consistently given our team a joyful spirit!
prayer requests:
Continued traveling mercies
Bonding and connection of our team
Energy and stamina as we arrive in Belfast this afternoon
