Day 8: 2025 Kenya

Safari day!
Today was surreal! Our excitement was extremely high this morning as we looked forward to seeing the many animals God created. We started early with breakfast and our devotion in Matthew 6 telling us to not be anxious, but to seek first God’s kingdom. Our hope on this safari was to see the “Big Five” animals, and we succeeded with seeing four of the five - lions, a cheetah, elephants, cape buffalo, and a leopard! We waited in line for two hours to see the leopard and it was well worth the wait. To say that we were excited on our adventure today was the understatement of the century! 🤣
We had a beautiful picnic lunch on the reserve and shared our food with some of the workers we met at our lunch spot. This was a truly special time, and we’re so blessed to experience this as a team - we give God the glory!
We ended the day with a wonderful dinner at the lodge and team time to talk through tomorrow. We have another early start to head back to Nairobi, and we’re excited for an Ethiopian dinner with friends of the Crowders! Keep the prayers and love coming because they're being felt every day! me, but know we are where God wants and needs us right now.
HOw we saw god at work today:
His glory in creation! We got to see a glimpse of the garden restored that will be better than the first!
In the beauty surrounding us knowing God created all of this with his hands
In the protection of our whole team while admiring the reserve
prayer requests:
Travel mercies as we head back to Nairobi
For our families back home and their safety and protection
An amazing day of bonding and spreading more of God's word
