Day 7: 2025 Kenya
God’s creation
Pictures coming soon!
We got an early start today to travel to the Maasai Mara safari! We started our day with breakfast and our devotion over Psalm 23. One of our drivers, Peter, is the same driver we had last year, so it was amazing to reconnect with him and meet our second driver, Zach. We had a great ride and enjoyed learning more about the Maasai culture and community on the way. We were able to stop at various shops along the way on our seven-hour drive to the safari, allowing us to engage with the community and spread the Gospel. We arrived at the lodge, checked in, ate a quick lunch, and headed out for an evening game drive. Seeing these majestic creatures in God’s stunning creation and their natural habitat was an amazing experience. This evening drive was just an appetizer for what we’ll get to experience tomorrow on our full-day drive – exciting!
We wrapped up our day with dinner and an early bedtime to rest up for tomorrow. We can’t thank you enough for the prayers you’re sending our way and feel blessed to have the team lifting us up while we’re away.
HOw we saw god at work today:
In his beautiful creation, seeing the reserve and all of the wildlife he placed there
In the Maasai women we encountered on our way into the reserve who asked us about our children and families and gave us beautiful jewelry
The chief of the Maasai village, Moses, who remembered our team from the past two years. Weeping, he prayed over each individual person in the van and the group prayed over him, as well
God’s protection when another vehicle noticed our tire looked slack and we were able to get it repaired before traveling further into the reserve
The team bonding we experienced during our drive to the safari
prayer requests:
To see more of God’s beauty on our full game drive tomorrow and feel God’s presence in the reserve
For a restful and refreshing night’s sleep
The ability to spread the Gospel and God’s love to others we meet
