Day 4: 2026 Ireland
Gospel seeds
Today we spent beautifully meaningful time with the men, women, and staff of Tiglin. The men spent the day at the Tiglin Men’s Center in the Wicklow Mountains, while our ladies joined the Tiglin women for an outing to the Hook Head Lighthouse in Wexford on Ireland’s southeast coast. The Celebrate Recovery (CR) team trained Tiglin staff all day and led a newly formed CR group in Greystones in the evening.
At Hook Head Lighthouse, the ladies spent time walking, talking, and getting to know one another as they toured the lighthouse. Tiglin’s ladies were welcoming and excited to spend time with us as Tiglin treated us to a picnic lunch on the grounds. After lunch, Leslie and Terra shared their powerful stories, testifying to God’s amazing love and showing how he met them in the midst of difficult circumstances. It was a great encouragement to everyone to place their trust in the Lord as they navigate life’s challenges.
At the Men’s Center, the team broke into smaller groups and asked the men to share what God has been teaching them about themselves and about him. We heard powerful stories of transformation and grace. Some of these men are encountering God and his Word for the very first time! It was beautiful to hear how God is already at work changing their lives.
After this time together, Cole Spain brought a little bit of Nashville to Ireland with a concert for the men. Before long, everyone joined in, singing along to some favorite American tunes, including “Sweet Caroline,” “Country Roads,” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” From there, the men shared a delicious lunch and took a 5K walk through the stunning Irish forest, enjoying the beauty of creation and more time together. Cole ended the day by playing some of his original songs for the men as the team waited for their ride home, a fitting close to the day.
