Day 6: 2026 Ireland

We started our morning in Greystones visiting with the folks in Tiglin’s aftercare, a supervised and structured program for those who have finished residential rehab and are beginning their reintegration into the workforce and community. We held a worship service where Frankie led worship, J delivered a message on Psalm 23, and David Baker shared his testimony. Afterward, we did a “walk and talk” around Greystones with the students, many of whom we remembered from their time in Tiglin’s rehab centers last year. It was a blessing to see them flourishing in aftercare!
In the evening, several members of West End’s team served at The Lighthouse in Dublin’s inner city. We presented a Country & Western Night, complete with numerous themed decorations for the dining hall. Bringing a little Music City to Dublin, Cole Spain played country and Americana songs throughout the evening as men and women of Dublin’s unhoused community received a hot meal, clothing, and other essentials.
Several members of the team also participated in The Lighthouse’s evening outreach on the streets of Dublin. Teams of trained volunteers walked the streets, sharing food and drink and ministering to those in need.
Meanwhile, our Celebrate Recovery team finished training 13 Tiglin leaders today. ChaCha opened their time together in prayer, Dale recapped what they’ve covered so far, Tommy D taught on sponsorship, and Penny D shared her testimony. Afterward, the team returned to the hotel for lunch and to prepare for the CR meeting that evening at Cornerstone Church in Bray.
Chaplain Eric accompanied the team to the church, where they enjoyed a wonderful spaghetti bolognese dinner together before the CR meeting began. Our team led the evening’s meeting, with Dale teaching Lesson 10 on spiritual inventory. They closed the night with small groups for open sharing. There were so many men attending that they had to divide into two groups. A total of 35 people overall! What a blessing it was to see people hungry for Jesus and Celebrate Recovery.
