Day 2: 2025 Ireland

Connecting with Tiglin

We woke up this morning feeling rested and eager to see what the Lord will do this week! Our day began with a team devotion led by Anastasia Campbell, who reminded us that God has always gone before his people, preparing the way.

From there, we visited both the men’s and women’s Tiglin facilities. This was a day to build relational capital with the residents, and it was such an encouraging time! The men’s facility, nestled in the Wicklow Mountains, and the women’s, located near Brittas Bay, each had their own distinct beauty, reminding us that God is present everywhere.

Later, we visited Rise at the Cove, a coffee shop Tiglin established in Greystones. This shop provides employment and work experience for Tiglin’s aftercare residents. Greystones itself was breathtaking, a glimpse of God’s beauty in creation and his creativity through his people.

Tonight, we gathered with the Tiglin staff for dinner. We feasted, laughed, and enjoyed rich fellowship, to the glory of God!

HOW WE’VE SEEN GOD AT WORK:

  • In our morning devotion, seeing how God has gone before us to prepare the way

  • In the beauty of the Wicklow Mountains and Brittas Bay, reminders of God’s omnipresence

  • In the faithful work of Tiglin, providing jobs and aftercare through Rise at the Cove

  • In our shared meal with Tiglin staff, enjoying the unity and joy of Christ’s body

prayer requests:

  • Continued rest and refreshment for our team

  • Strength and encouragement for our families back home holding things together

  • Open hearts for those we speak with, that they might receive the gospel and come to life everlasting

  • Freedom from anxieties about sharing our faith; boldness and clarity in proclaiming Christ

  • Safety and joy in all we do
