Day 4: 2025 Kenya

Children of God
Our team had an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING DAY!!! We started the morning with our usual team breakfast and devotion, speaking life into our group through God’s word. We headed to the Maasai community for Day 2 of VBS and were greeted by the sweet kids and leaders. We taught lessons about “Jesus in the Temple” and “Jesus Prays,” really emphasizing the importance of relying on him for all things. The crafts were a HUGE hit, as they made tissue paper crosses and prayer boxes. To see the kids’ faces light up during our time with them is such a blessing to witness. Our team prayed over Henry, one of our translators, who is going to college to study engineering soon - such a sweet moment! We played games after VBS, which was fun and helped the kids get some energy out. We played circle dodgeball, and it was hard to tell who had more fun - the kids or the adults!
Then, we loaded into the bus to the girls’ school for Day 2 of talking about self-esteem and self-image. Our team divided up in groups of two with an ATL leader to speak to the girls about their value and worth as children of God. To say our time there was special and rewarding is an understatement! To speak life over these girls and talk to them about how loved they are was a beautiful way to close the day spreading God’s light.
We ended the night with dinner and planned our last full day of VBS and time at the girls’ school. We’re still missing five bags and pray they’ll at least show up before we leave for home, but we’re making the best of an uncontrollable situation. 😂 We’re so thankful for all the prayers from you because we can truly feel God moving in big ways here!
HOw we saw god at work today:
The pure joy seen on the sweet faces of the kids and girls we spent time with today
The fun-loving and free-spirited nature of the Maasai leaders who joined in our games, showing their desire to be with us and the kids
The blessing of sharing the Gospel across the world to girls who are receptive to our presence
The gifts among all our team and how they weave together like a basket
The blessing of ATL members sharing their life stories
The gift of reconnecting with leaders we built relationships with last year on our vision trip and continuing to expand
prayer requests:
Continued rest and rejuvenation for our team
For us to touch the lives of the kids and girls in meaningful ways
Continued unity and bonding of our team
Against spiritual warfare amid all that the Lord is accomplishing
