Day 2: 2026 Ireland
God’s timing
The team landed in Dublin at 8 a.m., greeted by an overcast but very warm Irish day. We are thankful to be here safe and sound with only one missing piece of luggage, which we’re hopeful we’ll find soon!
After checking into the hotel and sitting down together for a much-needed breakfast, the team dispersed for various activities. Some chose to nap and relax in hopes of holding jet lag at bay, while several hiked to nearby Bray Head. A cross stands at the summit with views of the verdant countryside in one direction and the Irish Sea in the other. It’s always moving to take in the beauty of God’s glorious creation atop Bray Head in the shadow of the cross.
Later in the evening, the team had a fantastic dinner at Johnnie Fox’s Pub, a world-famous landmark. We were joined by several Tiglin staff members. We got to know them and learned more about their roles as we enjoyed live Irish music and traditional food.
Running on little sleep and adjusting to a new time zone is always tough , but the team powered through and made the most of this acclimation day.

For the Tiglin staff as they prepare to attend the funeral of their colleague Frank on Monday—he was a beloved member of the Tiglin family, and his loss has shaken them deeply
Finally, pray for restorative rest on our first full night in Ireland, that we may wake rejuvenated and ready for a time of spiritual direction and prayer as we prepare to serve at Tiglin this week
